Chapter 3
Chi Chi: "Ohh the nerve of him!" ::thinks for a moment:: "Hey waitasec (its one word for me, instead of three, hehehe) , its only 6:30 PM!!! How can that be late? GOOOHHHAAANNNNN-SSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Gohan: "Whew, I got away this time."
Videl: "Thanx for stopping me from saying something stupid, especially in front of your mother, no offense or anything."
Gohan: ::laughs:: "Eh, its alright, I know what your'e talking about. Besides... ::mumbles lowy:: anything for you."
Videl: "What was that?"
Gohan: "N-nothing, eh heh heh ...heh,..." ::looks at Videl who's looking at him:: "ummmmm, hi?"
Videl: "HEY THATS MY LINE!!!!!"
Gohan: "Ooo yeah gomen nasai."
Videl: "So, mister lets-go-somewhere-and-take-off-about-two-seconds-after-we-arrive, where are we headed to now?"
Gohan: "Well, since all day long we've been running around, I was thinking someplace...enjoyable."
Videl: "Sounds good...have any ideas?"
Gohan: "I don't have a clue."
Videl: "Oh, please? Tomorrow I'll think of someplace special!"
Gohan: ::snickers at the thought that Videl wanted to go someplace 'special' with him:: *special eh? How bout your bed, since it fits more than one person and mine doesn't. Bathrooms are nice too, especially with two people in the shower. There's always a few caves available in the worst cases. Gohan you baka stop thinking with such a sick mind!* "Ok, I know of a place...a place where you have never been before."
Videl: "Kewl!"
Gohan: "Just close your eyes cuz I don't want you to know where we're going."
Videl: ::smiles to self:: *hes gonna surprize me? ooo yay!* "Hai."
:::After two hours of nonstop flying and silence, Videl finally feels Gohan slowin down::
Videl: "Can I open my eyes now?"
Gohan: "Just a sec..." Gohan lowered himself in a certain position before he whispered softly, almost TOO softly into Videl's ear. "Open your eyes now, Videl-san."
She slowly opened her eyes and gasped. It was just about the most beautiful place she had ever seen, more beautiful than any painting or picture available. Presently, they were hovering a few inches above a crystal clear lake that had a majestic blue glow to it and shimmered in the diminishing light. All around them were exotic trees and plants, beautiful silk-like flowers of all colors poking in and out of oddly shaped ferns, letting out a sweet aroma that filled the air. The only sounds that could be heard was the soft humming of a brilliant waterfall,the animals of the forest, the warm breath of Gohan, and the steady beat of his heart. From the waterfall rose a mysterious mist that crept over the entire scene, making it perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Videl: "G-g-gohan-kun.....h..."
Gohan: ::says in a soft voice into her ear:: "Beautiful, isn't it?"
Videl: "I-its....perfect. I never imagined there was such a place like this existing. How did you find this place?"
Gohan: "About seven years ago, when I was really depressed and emotionally sick...I ran away from home, feeling too guilty for everything I had done in my nine years of life, for leting down all the people I cared for the most. I cried and cried until I flew somewhere by here and saw a beautiful blue light. So beautiful, the only thing in the universe that could possible compete is..."
Videl: "Is what?"
Gohan: "The radiant color that I see when I look into your eyes. A color so denominating, that it caputures my heart, as well as my own eyes."
Videl couldn't move. *Why did he just say that? Is he trying to trick me into something? Maybe, but...the way he says it, it sounds...like he means it. And how could the color of my eyes possibly be as beautiful as this? Well, I better not make myself noticable.* "mmm, really? I don't think anything could be as brilliant as this."
Gohan: "Oh, but I do."
Videl: "Uhh, I have absolutely no clue what to say, Gohan."
Gohan: "Oh, d'ya think I'm getting to romantic out here? Heh, sorry but..." ::puts his face a little closer to hers:: "I'm afraid I can't help myself. Am I bothering you? Or you'd rather hear what I am trying not to say?"
Videl: "Mmmm, I think I want to know what your trying not to say. But, we don't have to get right to it, eh?"
Gohan: ::grins:: "Whatever you say. Hmmm, you want to take a swim?"
Videl: "Nani?!?"
Gohan: "Oh, c'mon Videl...doesn't the water look good? Its not like your gonna have to strip to get in..."
Videl: "But I don't have a bathing suit on! Plus I just took a shower this morning!"
Gohan: "So what. I have a quick way of drying off. Pleeeeeeeeeaaase?"
Videl: "But..."
Gohan: "The water's crystal clear, and theres never been a single human here...except for me. And I'm only half."
Videl: "But..."
Gohan: "The water's always warm, and it feels soothing after a stressful day."
Videl: "Stop it your tempting me!"
Gohan: "Isn't that the point? I'm gonna get you into the water no matter what."
Videl: "Oh yeah?!? I'd like to see you TTRRRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!" ::BIG splash::
Gohan let go of his control over his KI and both him and Videl landed in the water.
Videl: ::surfaces at the same time as Gohan:: "YOU BAKA!!!!!!"
Gohan: "Didn't I tell you that I'd make you take a dip?"
Videl: ::pouts::
Gohan: "Oh come on, don't be a party pooper. Doesn't it feel nice?"
Videl: "Now that you mention it...yea."
Gohan: ::smiles and stares at Videl::
Videl: ::returns Gohan's smile::
Gohan: "Hey, I'll race ya to the waterfall!"
Videl: "You're on!"
Both: ::swim to waterfall::
Gohan: "Ha ha, I win!"
Videl: "Well excuse me I'm not half saiyan!"
Gohan: "Almost forgot, hehehe. Nahnanananana!"
Videl: "Thats it you're asking for it!" ::starts to chase Gohan in the hopes of catching him and givin him a nice 'play' punch::
Gohan: "Fly fly fly as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the great saiyaman!" he sang as he hid behind the waterfall.
Videl: "Hey so am I! Come back here!" and this continues for about ten mins, with the two of them flying around a waterfall and shouting sarcastic coments at eachother, then laughing their heads off.
Videl: "Oh, I give up Gohan. You're too good for me."
Gohan: "Eh? Oh, ok then." ::plops into the lake next to where Videl is swimming:: "Whats wrong?"
Videl: "Nothing."
Gohan: "Oh, cuz it looks like somethings wrong..."
Videl: "Oh Gohan, stop being so concerned. I'm just tired." she teased
Gohan: ::slightly blushing:: "Ohh, heh heh heh....sorry."
Videl: ::smiling:: "Thats ok Gohan. Its very sweet of you." *ooooooppppppsss, did I just say that outloud?!? Man I am so stupid! But it is really sweet of him...always worrying about me...*
Gohan: "Oh.hmmm..." ::disappears::
Videl: "Gohan? Oh no don't start...." ::notices that Gohan is at the bank of the lake and is looking for something:: "What are you doing?"
Gohan: ::re-appears in front of Videl:: "Here. For you." He said in a childish voice as he extended his arm to her holding a dazzling arrange of flowers::
Videl: "Ack its so preeeettty! Thanx Gohan-kun!" ::hugs Gohan:: "Hey lets go look at all the other flowers, c'mon!"
Gohan: ::laughs:: "I thought you were tired."
Videl: "How much energy does it take to look at flowers?"
Gohan: "Oh alright." They both flew to the shore and stepped into a patch of flowers. Videl picked up almost every single one and exclaimed about how beautiful they were.
Videl: "Oh Gohan look at this one! Its one of my favorites..the moon flower! I just love its creamy white color and its silky petals."
Gohan: *eh, I see what you mean. Its beautiful, just like you. The color matches the heavenly color of your skin, and almost as soft as yours.* "Yea, I totally agree with you Videl! You sure have good taste." *That would be when I taste your sweet skin.*
Videl: ::giggles:: "OOOoooo....and look at this one!....."
Gohan: *Kami, she's so beautiful, aarrgg that smile of hers just makes me want to kiss her for the longest time...how did I ever come to meet such a perfect girl like her? ::sighs:: If only I had the guts to tell her, but she'd probably tell me off and think I'm some kind of a perv. Love is a battlefield, and hopefully I win....* Videl broke his train of thoughts
Videl: "Gohan! oh look at this flower is so lovely! I have never seen it in my entire life."
Gohan: "Hell yeah." ::disappers again::
Videl: *whats he up to now?* she suddenly stops when she feels something sliding past her ear. She turned around, and saw Gohan holding a flower and placing it in her hair. "Gohan, what are you doing."
Gohan: "There, you look very pretty with that flower in your hair."
Videl: ::blushes:: "Really? Lemme see..." ::looks at her reflection:: *wow, that flower is so, pretty. Why did Gohan give it to me?* "Eh, I like the flower, but I don't like my face."
Gohan: ::feels like he's about to pop:: "Don't say that, you look very pretty!"
Videl: "Ya think so?"
Gohan: "Much prettier than that damned flower..." He mumbled.
Videl: "Eh?" she knew what he said but decided to act like she didn't. *he...thinks I'm pretty? I must be hearing things, reality check Videl! You are a good for nothing idiot who is only famous for being the daughter of a fake. Not only that but you're in love with a person that is perfect in every way and a person like that shouldn't or 9.9999999999999999 times out of ten wouldn't even notice you!.....did I just say I'm in love? I'm only supposed to be his friend..aaww shit let me think about this later now is not the time.*
Gohan: "Oh, uhh nothing.....nothing really.." He was blushing again, and Videl noticed it too.
Videl: "Oh, ok. Hold on a sec." ::runs off somewhere::
Gohan: ::is in la-la-land:: *she's so purrty.* Once again his train of thoughts was disrupted,but this time by an itch behind his ear. He turned around and saw Videl holding up a flower to him. He smiled sweetly, and she smiled back. "Hm, now that we've got our 'hair accesories', would you like to take another swim?"
Videl: "H-hai! but once we get out we're not going back in cuz its kinda getting late."
Gohan: "Ok my flower princess." *shit did i say that?!?"
Videl: *shit did he just say that?!?!?!*
Gohan: "Ummm, uhhh, damn, hi?"
Videl: "Uhh....hhhi."
