A Strange Twist of Fate

He sat there by himself in a tiny corner surrounded by bushes somewhere in the forest by his house. Curled up in a tiny ball with his head on his knees and his arms wrapped around his legs.

His power level was unstable, rising and falling uncontrolably, and his body shivered. He looked as if he were a 3 year old that was chained to a wall by Chuckie the killer doll and locked up in a room with a bunch of teletubies singing the "I love you" song while they one by one slaughter each and every pokemon in front of him...a childs living hell (or for a little kid who is afraid of teletubies and likes pokemon).

In other words, he was scared out of his wits.

"I'm...gonna die. Out of all the close encounters I've had, I have to die this way." He breathed hard and tightened his grip on himself to stop the shivering. Then he felt a familiar power level coming his way, but since he was so spazzed out he didn't know who it was.

"I...don't know who it is... its a girl too...ohhh no! ::cries:: Please don't let it be...::shudders:: her, not ::uses the powerpuff girls' tone of voice when they say 'him':: her. The person who will...kill me."

The unidentified woman whom he knows very well landed at the begining of the forest. She walked carefully and slowly towards his location, trying not to lose track of his distorted power level. "Aie." she sighed. "I have no clue whats going on, but I must find out." Each step she took, a leaf or twig would snap, and with each sound that came, the man who was hiding would tighten his hold, praying it wasn't the one he feared. He tensed up, and wished with all his heart that he was fighting another enemy instead of being in the position he is in now. *I'm gonna die...I'm gonna die...this is the end...I'm gonna die...* this and many other terrible thoughts ran through his head as the person approached. Closer, closer, closer...

"Son Gohan, what on earth are you doing?"

"V-veedel-san?" The boy, a.k.a Gohan, whom we all love in one way or another, looked up at one of his closest, er, his CLOSEST (hint hint wink wink nod nod) friend.

"Konnichiwa, Gohan-kun. Now can you tell me why your curled up in that little corner in the middle of the forest? And why your power level is wacked? And furthermore...why you ran out of school in such a big hurry and didn't wait for me to catch up?" (a.k.a, she felt lonely without his company...awww how kawaii)

"G-gomen nasai, videl-san, but....I" Videl kneeled down in front of him leaning forward cuz his voice was low.

Videl lean over more. "I'm listening..."

"I'm gonna d-die..."

"She's gonna kill me..." Gohan's voice was shaky.

"Who? Who is she? An enemy?"

"An enemy who wants revenge on you?"

"An enemy you've known for a long time? Tell me Gohan this is serious...unless you're just pulling a joke.."

"WWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! YOU? Failed a TEST?!? IS THAT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE?!?" she screamed so loud Chi Chi probably heard it.

::sadly nods and shows her the paper, then lets it fall to the ground::

::in the distance:: "GOOOHHHAAANN-SAAAAAAANNNN!!! ARE YOU THERE???"

"Ahh..." Gohan was trembling with fear. "How...did she find out that we're here?!?"

"Gohan...it was nice knowing you."

"I wish I could stop this somehow...oh Gohan I love you!" ::bursts into tears again::

"GGOOOHHANNNN! Oh Gohan, Videl, there you are!" Chi Chi ran over to the embracing and histerical couple. "Who screamed?"

"Someone screamed something about a test and it being physically possible and..." She stopped short, stared at them, and noticed that they were embracing and crying. A wry smile appeared on her face. Her eyes glittered and widened as she gasped and said, "Gohan-san, am I going to be expecting any grandchildren? Oh, my boy is all grown up! I'm too young to be a grandmother!!!"

"OOOOOKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!" Gohan screamed loudly and made Chi Chi stop glowering and look at him. "I did NOT have sex with Videl and you are NOT going to be a grandmother, GOT IT?!?!" Gohan spat angrily, though deep down inside he wish that was the case(naughty boy!). Chi Chi, being the goody goody must-obey-me sort, stepped back in shock, then screamed back with frightening force.

"HOW DARE YOU TALK TO YOUR MOTHER LIKE THAT!!! IF I EVER HEAR YOU TALK BACK TO ME LIKE THAT YOUNG MAN YOU WILL BE GROUNDED FOR A MONTH AND WON'T BE ALLOWED TO TRAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO YOU HEAR ME?!?! NOW MOVE YOUR ASS, GET INSIDE, AND FINISH YOUR GOD-DAMNED HOMEWORK...~RIGHT NOW~!!!!!!!!!!!!"

An infamous red aroura surrounded her, and the trees around the three of them shook violently. As did the bushes, plants, leaves, twigs.

Chi Chi calmed down promptly to catch the piece of paper that had found its way in front of her. "OOoooo, whats this?"

Gohan couldn't move. *god help me please, I beg of you.* he thought as he gripped Videl's hand, who was also staring in shock.

Chi Chi, who was presenlty looking at the back, flipped the paper over to the written side. "OOoo, a test! Oh Gohan you should've showed it to me as soon as you got it back. Not that it matters, I already know that you..." she made a deathly stop. Her mouth was wide open, but no sound came out. Her eyebrows twitched once or twice every split second, and her eyes were bulging. Several sweatdrops formed on the side of her head.

Chi Chi, not changing the expression on her face, lifted her head up from the paper and looked at Gohan blankly.

"Gohan" Videl whispered.

"I..." a single tear streaked down her face. But Gohan didn't have enough time to wipe away her tear as he always did in effort to comfort her............................

"Well, I don't think ITS WORKING!!! So, what subject are you studying anyway? Huh? The anatomy of VIDEL?"

"Ah, it turns out that you weren't the only one who failed a test."
