She is a better fighter than her father, but seems to aquire his hotheadiness quality. She is often risking her life for her city doing community service for the police force. This gives her the right to leave class whenever she's called on her communicator, Gohan unfortunately is not as lucky and often gave the excuse that he had to go to the bathroom just so he could make sure Videl didn't get hurt (^.^). Videl is Gohan's classmate at Orange Star high, and after only 4 days she figures out his identity as Saiyanman, and blackmails him to teach her to fly.
At first ChiChi thought Videl was nothing more than a hussy out to seduce her son, and immediately disliked her ( a cruel judgement considering she said she was there to train). But once she found out she was rich she was practically pushing those two down the aisle. Not that they needed goading, they both developed crushes on each other and the feelings became apparent when Videl fought Subobo Bitchi.
This rather grotesque figure fought Videl at the Worlds martail arts tourament, and she had the upper hand at first.
The Z warriors confirmed Videl was much stronger so it would be an easy fight, but something strange happened no matter how much abuse Videl inflicted on him he didn't fall.
He was given a powerup by Bibibi, Videl getting tired decided it would be best to end the fight, so she took a powerful flying kick at Bitchi's head, unintentionally breaking his neck.
Subobo didn't fall but rather nonchalantly snapped his head back into place. With that he showed his hidden power and wailed on Videl horribly, (I'm not kidding that scene is brutal).
He punched her repeatedly, and Videl bloody and losing, flew above the stage to gain back some energy. She wasn't going to give up despite the pleas coming from the crowd and Gohan.
Surprisely though Bitchi could fly too and Videl not given enough time to react was smashed down to the stage with an invisible ki blast.
Gohan is so pissed that his father has to assure him she's not going to die, afraid Gohan will give himself away.
Subobo flew back down to meet Videl who was shakily getting up on her knees, he grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face knocking out some teeth. Videl couldn't do anything but lay there, and Subobo unmerciessly placed his foot on her head fully intending to smash it.
Gohan with a rage induced surge of power went Super Saiyan, incinerating his bandana on his head, thus giving away his identity. Subobo was told to stop by Yamu, acknowledging him Subobo threw Videl off to the side like a rag doll. Where Gohan swore to get revenge on him, he then picked up Videl and carried her to the nearest hospital.
I decided to mention this, becuase it's a good example of Videl's determination, and Gohan's love for her.
Videl is also loyal, smart, and brave. And is soon accepted by all the Z senshi, even Vegeta.
