Videl forced her eyes open once again. The blue rays of light came from the crescent moon hanging in the night sky. She had to get home, to her father. When she tried to move, something moaned and tightened its grip around her waist. Warm, even breath came on the back of her neck. When she managed to turn over, she came face to face with the one that seemingly wouldn't let her go. Gohan was sleeping peacefully next to her. Videl sighed. Such a child, she thought as she snuggled against him, placing her head under his."Beautiful girl…" he muttered"Glad you think that way Go-chan" she whispered back. Gohan's eyes fluttered open and listened to the name that he hasn't been called for years on end."Videl???" he asked"Yes?""Do you realize that we seem to be best friends considering we met when we were younger? This is too weird, ya know?""Yes, I know. But, what's wrong with being just best friends?" she teased. Gohan thanked his lucky stars that it was dark, because he was red as a tomato. He propped himself up on his elbows, so he could get a good look at this creature that lay next to him."Videl? Why did you never come when we were about 15? I waited for about a week. And you never showed." Gohan's voice clearly showed of his hurt and disappointment."Oh, Gohan. Didn't you see the letter I wrote?" Videl sat up and looked him in the eye."No…I don't remember one being there. But I know it was the loneliest week of my life. I missed you so much." Gohan pulled her into a hug, and buried his head in her shoulder. Videl had never seen someone with such…emotion."Gohan…did you even read the back of the last letter?" She asked"No…""There was a PS on the back," Gohan mentally slapped himself in the forehead. Videl always wrote extra. Just this time, she had no room. Gohan got up and rummaged through a drawer. He pulled out a box and sat down on the bed again."What're those?" Videl asked, gently leaning forward"All of your letters. Every single one you wrote" he smiled, pulling out one at the very top."What's it say? What'd I write?" Videl's eyes danced with curiosity. Gohan took a deep breath and began to read.

Dear Gohan,What's up? Wow, I'm so nervous right now! I heard you got yourself a little brother! That's so cool! Any ways, I got some bad news and some good news. What do you want to hear first? Well, I'll start with the bad news. My dad wants me to start training…REAL training. Not the play kind that we always do. This means I won't be able to see you as much, even though you know I really enjoy spending time with you. I'll see you as soon as I can, ok?Love,Videl

Gohan flipped on the back, and sure enough, there was more writing. Videl fidgeted when he read the rest.P.S. The good news is yet to come! Look under the tree, where you and I first met. The letter will be there.Gohan blushed. Videl giggled. This was so embarrassing!!!"Hey, why don't we get the note?" Gohan asked"What're you, crazy?!? We'll get caught for sure!" Videl squeaked. Gohan's mom would go nuts if they went out together at four o'clock in the morning."Uh…not if we're quiet. Later is not exactly the best time either. Well, do you wanna go now or what?" Gohan pleaded with her. All Videl could do was nod, I mean, who could resist him? Gohan grabbed 2 jackets out of his closet, and motioned Videl to his window."Gohan, How am I gonna get there? I don't have any of my strength back yet." Videl slipped on the over sized Capsule Corp. jacket. Gohan got that glint in his eye, that most men do when they're about to do something drastic. Gohan gently picked Videl up, one arm under the knees and the other around the back and took off out his own window.Videl let herself be carried and didn't mind at all. With Gohan's speed and very good memory they reached the tree in no time. Videl marveled at the blooming cherry blossom tree while Gohan looked for the note. He found it all right; he made sure Videl was occupied so that he could read it on his own. This began the usual.

Dear Gohan,Hey again. Here is some more bad news. Dad is trying to get me married already. He told me by my 19th birthday. This leaves me 5 years TODAY! Yes it is my birthday today! Well, enough of that! Gohan, we've spent nearly all our lives together and we've become the best of friends. I just wanted to say…well I wrote a song to say it. Here goes:

Ps: See you later… when I ever get time off from training. ^_^ Gohan just stood there, shocked. She loved him? He did remember that she always wanted to spend time with him, no matter the weather or the time of day. And his eyes widened; it's been five years and Videl's 19!!!!

"Hey, V?" He called looking for her"Yeah?" she had swung her way up to he top of the tree. "How old are you?" I think I just got myself into a deep hole and I'm not getting out. "18. Why?" Has he read the note already? Most likely.

"Oh. Funny, I turned 19 last week." Gohan stood next to her on the branch.

Videl hung her head.

"Hey, did ya read the letter already?"

"Uh…yes, I did. And I wanted to say something to you too." Gohan leaned close to her, his breath tickled her ear, "I love you too."

Videl turned in surprise. Gohan leaned closer and closer to Videl, until their lips touched. Gohan pulled her close to him, once again putting his arms around her waist. Videl returned the kiss, passionately, feeling his love for her that was strong and true. When the kiss ended, Gohan again picked Videl up and carried her home.

Arriving at the dark room, Gohan laid the love of his life on the bed and slid in next to her. Finally, they both managed to stay asleep.

Later…in the morning

Chichi hummed as she climbed up the stairs to Gohan's room. In her arms was a neatly folded red Chinese T-shirt and a pair of black pants for Videl, and Gohan's usual orange and blue kung fu uniform. She smiled proudly as she trotted into the room.

"Gohan, breakfast is al…most…" Chichi went wide-eyed when she saw the two teens that were both on their sides...together. Gohan had his arms around Videl, who was laying with her back to him. Both had their tails rapped around the other's. Chichi calmly put the clothes down and tiptoed out of the room. Downstairs, Goku and Goten were waiting to eat.

"Where's brother?" Goten asked

"Still asleep," Chichi grinned, as a knock came at the door. Everyone stopped dead in their tracks and stared at the door. Goku answered it and met a very buff looking man.

"Is Videl here?" He asked

"Who're you?" Goku's arms twitched.

"Her father, of course! I can't believe you don't remember me!"

Goku, being the slow that he is, finally realized this is Hurcule Satan. As he led him in and introduced his family, Gohan and Videl came down the stairs, talking.

"Too weird, huh?" Videl jumped a few steps ahead

"Yes it is. I'm guessing a reunion is what that day really was."

"Sure and... DADDY!!!" Videl leapt on her father, hugging him with all the strength she had.

"Hi, sweetie! I'm home and a very happy 19th birthday to you!" Hurcule returned the hug. The Son family went silent. Videl pulled away from her father.

"Daddy, do I have to…you know…" Videl pleaded, giving him the `I don't wanna' look.

"Yes, dear."

Chichi demanded to know what he was talking about. Hercule set his daughter down and told them everything. Gohan smirked. I already know all of this stuff! And who says no one's interested in her? I defiantly am!

"…And if she dose not have one chosen, then I must do so for her." Hurcule finished

"Daz bad." Goten looked up from his plate, "Videl is good girl and have lots of power. She can out do you." The toddler smiled

"Beg pardon?"

"Show him, Videl-san!" Goten smiled at her. Videl knew what he was talking about. Videl bowed her head then snapped back up, in Super Sayin form. Hurcule was blown away (not literally!) at the strength his only child had. Smiling, Videl powered down to her usual form.

"Dad? Goku? Chichi? There's something Gohan and I have to tell you…"

After the little `blast from the past' talk

"NANI?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" The grownups screeched at the same time. Gohan and Videl stood there, blushing furiously.

"Y…you mean that this boy is…" Hurcule stammered. Good God…the boy she had a crush on.

"You're telling us that Videl is…" Goku and Chichi looked back and forth between the teens. The whole story had come out; except the part about last night. That part of the storm was yet to come. Chichi's eyes filled with tears as she hugged her son.

"Mom! What the…?!" Gohan looked down at his mother

"Oh, Gohan! You've made your mother so happy! Finally finding a girl that you love! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Chichi let the waves of tears fly.

"Videl, is this who you choose???" Hurcule pointed at Gohan, now with a face of a bleeding tomato.

Gohan: [Is he saying what i think he's saying?]

Videl: [About us? Could be] she smiles

Gohan: [Well, It's a thought]

V: [Really?!?!]

G: [Videl, be my wife?]

V: [Do you hafta ask?]

*A year later*

Gohan and Videl brought home a little bundle of joy, namely a girl.

"FINALLY! I GOT GRANDKIDS!" Chichi squealed, still holding the frying pan, from when she was chasing around her husband b/c he nearly killed Goten. Goku came up and smiled at his granddaughter.

"What's her name?" He asked

"Dunno. We haven't decided." Videl shrugged. The baby opened her eyes, which were just the same color as her mother's, and reached for the frying pan.

"Pan!" she said. And so it became that Pan was her name. She grew up to be a top Elite, just like her parents. Hurcule didn't mind that Gohan and Videl got together, although disapprove, but just a bit. And Akrai and Neero? Well, they got together as well and died in battle, as good warriors should. So All's Well that Ends Well.
