How it Started
Gohan met Videl on his way to his first day of school. He was heading towards Orange Star High when the Satan city bank was being robbed. Being a concerned citizen he went Super Saiyan and attacked the crooks, and stopped the getaway car by letting off an invisible Ki wave that flipped the car over. As a crowd gathered in awe Gohan went back to normal and started to sneak off undetected. At least until Videl caught him by surprise. She asked him what had happened and he said he wasn't looking. Videl angry at coming all that way for nothing spoke to a bystander of the scene. He explained that he assumed that he was a classmate of hers because he went to her high school, referring to the badge on her shirt. She said that all the kids had to where them, but if he goes there she'll find him.
Back at Orange Star the teacher introduced a transfer student had gotten perfect scores on his SATs. Gohan politely introduced himself and was invited to sit next to Eliza, who was sitting next to Videl. Videl after a while recognized Gohan from the crime scene where the Golden Haired Warrior was, she also mentioned that he was wearing a black vest, a white shirt, and red pants. Which was exactly what Gohan was wearing. Sharpener a jock that likes Videl, laughed and said he had never heard of a bookworm superhero (apparently they have never heard of superman.) Videl dismissed also because she knew he had to have golden hair anyway. Although she had remembered that some guys from the Cell games had changed their hair color, but her father had said it was a cheap trick.
Later that day during gym, Gohan had blown his cover of being normal twice. The first occurrence was jumping 18 meters into the air to catch a fly ball ( I love that scene it's so funny).
And the other was when he thought it would be better not to swing to hit the baseball because he couldn't avoid hitting it into the stratosphere. Sharpener trying to embarrass Gohan threw the ball harshly towards his head so he'll have to duck like a sissy. Videl sensing what he was doing yelled at Gohan to watch out, (see she already worries about him.). Gohan not moving , got hit in the temple by the ball. Instead of falling down Gohan just stared at the ball, and asked the coached if that was a run. He said yes and Gohan ran the bases as happy as can be not realizing that everything was staring at him and that Videl's suspicions of him rearose.
Gohan noticing all the close calls that happened that day went to Bulmas and had her make him a superhero suit. Thus was the birth of Saiyanman.
Gohan slowly developed a crush with Videl although she was still indifferent. That is until she realized what a great guy he was.
Gohan was rescuing a baby dinosaur friend named Chobi who was kidnapped by the circus people. In his Saiyanman garb he stopped the guards and saved Chobi from his cage. He had to carry him on foot though because Chobi kept on getting scared and covering his face. When he finally got away from the police he was confronted by Videl whom believed Gohan was stealing Chobi and breaking the law. A group of people watched the fight ensue as Videl attacked Gohan,
Gohan not wishing to hurt Videl just dodged her as he fruitlessly tried to plead his case. As this was happening the circus owner grabbed Chobi and when the little guy struggled against him he brought out his whip and struck near him trying to make him obey. Chobi scared cried out and called his parents. The police force, Videl and Gohan watched as a shadow loomed overhead. The two dinosaur parents zoomed down trying to find their baby. Gohan explained to Videl that the circus people had robbed their nest, and that this family needed their help. Videl understanding now ran over to the circus owner and scolded him as she grabbed Chobi. Gohan in the meantime was yelling at Todo and his wife (parents of Chobi) trying to make them recognize his voice, to no avail. As Todo flew towards Videl who was holding the scared Chobi, Gohan quickly got before him and pushed her down, so Todo swooped passed them.
Gohan trying to make him stop made the mistake of saying "that is was him GO.." he stopped himself but Videl caught it and tried to make him confess his identity. Which was at a considerable inconvenient time to do so. Todo did a U-turn and heading back towards them once more but stopped when Gohan yelled TODO loud enough for him to recognize his voice. The dinosaur calmly landed in front of the three. The circus owner angry that he was going to lose his star attraction stole an officers gun and threatened for Gohan (Great Saiyanman) and Videl to give it back. Saiyanman ordered him not to shoot, while Videl pulled out her handcuffs and threw them in a manner that knocked the gun upwards when he shot it. Todo sensing danger for his child once more attacked Videl, Gohan showing his true feelings for Videl yelled "Not her Todo please," when the dinosaurs lunged at Videl once more he swiftly punched him in the stomach. Making the big guy fall over. Chobi went over and concernly rubbed his daddy's stomach. Videl commented on how precious he was, Videl smiled at Gohan who smiled back as he wiped the blood from a small scratch on his cheek. He picked up the unconscious dinosaur and his baby as he flew of with the mother towards their nest. Videl just watched him as he left saying "what a guy" rather dreamily. The circus owner threatened to steal Chobi again, but was arrested for stealing an officers hand gun.
The next day Gohan was late for class so he ran through the empty halls towards class. But was stopped by Videl who was leaning against her locker. She removed the Band-Aid that was on Gohan's cheek, and revealed the scratch she saw Saiyanman get the other day. Confirming she knew his identity she said that she thought the public deserved to know who he really is. Gohan pleading with her said he only kept his identity secret to protect his family's privacy, and asked if there was anyway to keep it between them. Videl gave him the ultimaten that he enters the Martial arts tournament or else she tells everyone his secret. Her reasoning was that it would be such a great fight if the former champions daughter fights the former champions son, plus she wanted a challenge. Gohan not particularly liking the idea suggested that if they wanted to do something really challenging they should go on a date together, he said as he laughed. Videl warned him what would happen if he didn't go by the deal. Gohan agreed as Videl told him to "buck up, this is going to be way better than going on a silly old date." She also added the condition that he had to teach her how to fly.
A day later Videl flew to Gohan's house suspecting that he was going against their deal by having a leave of absence from school. When actuality he was training for the Tournament. She met up with ChiChi who accused her coming their for a date, Videl disputed that by saying she was here for martial arts training. Gohan ran up right about then and greeted Videl. He explained to ChiChi that he promised Videl he would teach her to fly. ChiChi angrily complied and said "fine teach her, but let me give you some advice young lady. You keep your filthy hands off my son," Gohan panicked as he switched his gaze between his mom and a ready to explode in anger Videl. And with that the mother of all cat fights erupted, and all Gohan could do was watch.
As their relationship grew, Gohan and Videl deeply in love. They became partners as the Great Saiya-team,
eventually they get married and had a young girl named Pan. Who shows great potential to be very strong. Following his mothers wishes Gohan's becomes a scholar, while Videl I believe becomes a housewife , she occasionally though dawns her Saiyaman 2 outfit to protect Satan city.
